We made it to Nicaragua. Our team of 25 all made it safely and smoothly. However, we did lose four bags of luggage that we are hoping will show up on Wednesday.
Today we went to Project Chacocente. We got to meet the families who have been moved off the dump so far. We also were all given machetes and clear about five acres of land around their crop. It is amazing to think that many americans pay people to cut their grass, and we used machetes to cut thick and tall weeds.
Tomorrow, the medical crew goes off to another village that is in extreme poverty to help the people providing care. Our second crew is building a home. Keep us in your prayers.
